Senayit Rudassa is the mother of one of our sponsored child. Senayit is a hardworking, a person who is filled with hope. Senayit was born at the rural part of Ethiopia. She came to Addis Ababa to work and change her life. “I started working as a house maid (live in cook) then I wanted to be independent and have my own life. That’s when I got married to my husband Teressa”. God blessed them with children two children. After giving birth she worked as a daily labor. Life didn’t go as she planned. She started petty trade to raise her children. She started by selling collard greens. “The money I was getting from selling collard greens weren’t enough so I added Potatoes and Tomatoes. One day I got my daughter got the chance to join this sponsorship. God sent help through CTE.” It has been over two years since they joined CTE. After joining this sponsorship program Senayit joined one of SHG’s from CTE. She was one of the lucky beneficiaries who got the special support. This support motivated Senayit to work harder, to run and to expand her petty trade. She take loans from her SHG and return back on time. Senayit wants to see the end of poverty in her lifetime. And we believe that it’s possible with God and her hard work.
